The days in between

Christmas Eve is always quality time for hubby and me. We watch movies and a lot of delicious snacks. I worked until about 4 pm than hubby prepared our evening while I took a long shower.

First Christmas Day we always start with a nice Christmas breakfast. The rest of the day we just, well, nothing. We had a nice dinner and I wanted to write some more on my story. Turns out I just was so very tired I didn’t got anything written down. I didn’t even turn on my laptop LOL.

Second Christmas Day we spend with friends, and it was wonderful. Of course Max joined us and he behaved himself so good. Max really was a good boy (made his momma proud, yet again). We all exchanged small gifts and brought food. I made a delicious homemade soup and a pasta salad.

You know what I thought was the best thing about Christmas this year? Not having to work! I’m working for a new contractor, and he is the best. I hope to be working for him on a long time basis. I so much like the articles that he wants me to write for him, it’s just perfect.

Christmas has passed and New Year’s Eve awaits us.   It was a rough year for hubby and me. I really, really hope that 2014 will be kinder to us.

Today I worked until 2 pm then I signed of and took the time to continue writing on my story. Tomorrow I will concentrate solely on writing my story, yeah i will!

Hell and Christmas decorations

The last two weeks were stressful for me. I’m tired right now but I feel good. I have a new contractor, and I love the articles he wants me to write for his website. So now I have my hours at the firm where I work 12 hours a week. I have my writing job. And I’m helping hubby with the voice over of the promotion video. So now we are busy writing the text and convert it into audio with and of course the voice has to be synchronously with the explaining on the promotion video. It will be a lot of work, but the fair already is in January and all has to be at the ready by then!

This morning i was shopping with my dear friend, she is almost blind and has a pacemaker and diabetes. So yes she really is a very sick woman, but she is more positive than any person I know. She’s sweet and gently and she has a very caring personality. We bought very nice Christmas decorations.

Oh, and I landed myself in hell today! Well grocery shopping hell that is. I never, ever do grocery shopping on a Saturday and especially not so close before the holidays. Let me tell you, it was complete and utter madness. Why then do grocery shopping on a damn Saturday you asked? That’s simple in fact. I had the choice to do it today or…on Monday! Monday is one day before Christmas Eve, then it will be even more horror at the grocery stores. It took me like forever to get all the things I needed but eventually I managed to get it done!

After I got back from the grocery store I took Max for his walk. Walking with Max always relaxes me, I love to my li’ll pooch play and run after the leaves.

Edit:
I just finished dinner spaghetti Bolognese and now I’m writing on my latest story. I hope to be finished by the end of January.

What can I say, I love being very busy, it leaves me no time to think.

Priorities and animal cruelty!

I’m not sick anymore, thank god! The last week was a nightmare, I hate being sick. Saturday I started writing on my story again. So far I've complete 20 pages, the book should have been finished by now but I was busy with other projects.

So now I've set priorities about working hours during the week. Writing articles every day from 8 am till 3 pm, after that I’ll start writing on my story. Especially so close before Christmas there always is too little time for everything.

Yesterday is was home alone all day; hubby was with friends doing some work on their cars. Having the house to myself always gives me the peace and quiet I need for my writing. Max is beside me on the couch and the TV is turned on with the volume low (National Geographic).
Also I decorate the house for Christmas; the tree is beautiful (at least I think so). Stockings are hanging for hubby, Max and me.

Today I’ll write Christmas cards so hubby can post them on Monday. Some of the cards have to travel to the UK; I hope my friends will get their Christmas cards in time. I would have wrote them sooner if I hadn't become Ill.

Today I signed a petition against the use of angora in clothing. It tore my heart out to see that those poor rabbits were tortured. I mean pulling out their fur and hurting those poor rabbits in the process, that more than I can handle.

Off-limits for are: all kinds of fur, because I hate the thought of animals dying a cruel and very painful death just because people need to wear fur. No ivory either, no croc leather thingies, no ashtrays that are made of poor little money hands that just gross and macabre.
I even pay attention when I buy eggs, I buy only eggs that come from chickens that run free, als they taste the best.

I sign a lot of petitions again animal cruelty and pay attention at the grocery store as what to buy. It’s not much but it’s all I can do for now to contribute to a better treatment for animals.

Dark days ahead......

Hard times

The last two weeks were very hard on me. There was doubt from day one, and still, I took on the project, stupid uh? After several of my articles didn't pass, I threw the towel into the ring, so to speak! I’m a person who not gives up lightly; it’s not the way I was raised. But I let my sense overrule and one Sunday I decided that it was time to pull the proverbial plug. It’s the first time in my writing carries that I gave up a project, I’m a fighter but I know a lost cause when I see one. I pm’t my contractor on Sunday, now it’s Monday afternoon and I still have an answer back. Ah well there’s nothing I can do about that now can I?

Priorities
I thought long and hard last weekend and came to the conclusion that I need to spent time on writing my stories. The outline is there, all in my head, I just had to straighten out my priorities. First I will translate the press-release for my dear hubby, it’s long overdue.

Sick?

Yep, I’m coming down with the flu or something similar.  I’m not feeling very well at the moment. But I still took the time to finally buy Christmas-cards, now I have to write them too. Gonna do that this week, when I’m feeling better.

There is always light at the end of the tunnel!

Enjoying Saturday…..

Hubby and I went out for dinner yesterday and we had a really good time. I had champignons de Dordogne and salmon file, ah it was heaven. You see I know this restaurant were the serve excellent food for a normal price.

I slept in today because I was so very tired. I got little sleep the last few nights. Sometimes I just can’t let a topic go and when that happens I can’t sleep. Sometimes I just can’t sleep, no particular reason, I simply lie awake. Last night though I slept like a baby. I finished my articles on time and they all were just perfect. This morning another assignment was waiting for me in my mailbox *grinning*.

Right now I continue writing my novella because I’m way behind and catching up with friends on Skype and Facebook. I always try to keep up with friends but sometimes work just swallows me whole LOL.  I even make time to do the laundry hahahaha, the weather is good so I’ll hang the large pieces outside. I’m sitting on the couch with my laptop; Max is lying beside me in a fest asleep.

This is gonna be a good day, I mean I woke up to sunshine in November, how cool is that. Gonna hang the laundry now and write not only on my novella but I promised hubby to translate his press release during the weekend.

Busy weekend….

So here I thought to read some books from my favorite authors that recently were published. It’s not going to happen, obviously! Hubby is developing, designing and produce tent-trailers and we are now published in a magazine that has the latest information and news regarding camping.

We already did sell some tent-trailers, but now there are more potential costumers calling, because they read about us in the Camping magazine. The press-release is in Dutch and I have to translate it in German and in the English language.

Today it’s Saturday and I’m preparing (research) for my article writing which starts on Monday. Sunday will be the day that I have time to translate the press-release in two different languages. I don’t mind though, this press-release is very important and I love to translate, it’s so much easier then writing difficult articles!

Max had some health issues again, nothing serious though. He gets four times a year treatment against worms and he always reacts badly to the treatment.  Today he got his last meds and he will be fine tomorrow.

I’m feeling good right now, all is as it should be.

Tired and confused!

This should have been a relaxing day. I planned on walking a lot with li’ll Max because the weather today was just awesome. The day started out pretty good and this morning I took my first long walk with Max, it was wonderful.

Then, I talked to my friend, who told me that her son is in the hospital. He is only 19 and was admitted to the hospital because he had a cardiac arrest, his heart just stopped. My friend is a single mother with a lousy asshole no good ex-husband who doesn’t look after his kids.

I’m so confused and she is so scared. Right now I’m exhausted because too much worry will do that to a person. Tension like this always drains me to the fullest. I prepared a quick meal and now I’m off to my friend again.

The hospital did some testing today and I really want to know how it went.

Saturday............

7 am: pouring my first double espresso of the day. I can’t function without coffee; I need the fresh brew to wake up. Since its Saturday I take things easy, watching Cajun Pawn Stars and sipping coffee is my way to start the weekend.

Yesterday Max and I went shopping for a winter coat. Max has one winter coat but it doesn't protect his kidneys and tummy enough. Max isn't very strong, he gets sick easily, so now he has this cool winter sweater/ hoody. He really looks so cool wearing his new winter sweater.

9 am: start working in the garden, the roses needs to move to another part of the garden and November is the best month to (re) plant roses.

10 am: need a break, blood pressure is getting unstable again I’m feeling dizzy and heart rate is speeding up. I've taken my meds and now I have to take it easy for a while. Taking it easy is no problem at all; I’ll continue writing on my latest book. The whole story is already in my head and notes are written down, so I don’t forget.

Right now I’m busy writing and in between I read a little bit, reading relaxes me like nothing else. I basically write a scene and after I’m finished I take some time to read.

1.30 pm: prepared lunch (pancakes) I so love pancakes.  Took care of the laundry and feed Max. Uploaded photos of Max in his new winter coat to my Facebook page. I continue writing while hubby is changing summer tires to winter tires. It’s misty outside, which means that right now it’s icy cold. I’m glad I took Max for his big walk earlier; this mist is getting thicker by the hour.

I’m thinking of getting more familiar with WordPress, but the writing goes so well that I can’t stop, so WordPress has to wait a bit longer. I looked for writing jobs this week, but there wasn't anything interesting and frankly I didn't mind. I feel so at ease at the moment, I think it’s because I finally am able to write on my stories again. That’s it’s for now.

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

Just an ordinary day.....

8:30 a.m. breakfast, then shower and continue with writing on my new story which goes really well.

10:45 a.m.  on my way to the vet! Max finally gets his shot today. He should have them last month, but since he was sick on and off again we had to wait.

11:30 a.m. leaving the vet and now on my way to the pet store, Max has a special diet which is only available at the pet store. While in the pet store is looked for a new winter coat for Max, he already has three different coats like a rain coat, warm winter coat and a safety coat. So I think he had more than enough coats for now.

12:30 p.m. finished lunch, continue writing again.

2:30 p.m. walking Max, the weather is great, sunny and not to cold, perfect for a one hour walk.

3:20 p.m. Back home again, continuing writing on my story. Max is lying on his fluffy pillow fast asleep.

5 p.m. Preparing Max’s dinner, he always has his dinner at 5 p.m.  Max has severe stomach problems so eating at the same time every day is imperative.

6 p.m. finally dinner is ready, I’m hungry.

630 p.m. My good friend and beta reader isn't feeling well. Tonight, no editing books, but hey if you’re sick then you’re sick, right?

I’ll continue writing for a while because I’m on the roll people. Also my favorite show airs tonight, of course I’m gonna watch that too.

Unbelievable

The plan for today was to continue re-writing my novel. Well as it turned out I got this magnificent idea for a new story. If a new idea pops into my head, I just have to start writing so that’s what I did. It’s 830 pm right now and I’m still writing and watching TV. Under the Dome is starting I just love that series.

Also I finished translating some internet pages into two different languages for hubby today, did that in between my writing.

Writing went really well today, I’m so happy! Also Max is doing so much better, I hope to get some sleep tonight.

A very productive week....

Re-writing goes well, i have the time right now and i feel at ease. I'm i thinker and i worry all the time. The last few days i feel really good, even though i didn't catch much sleep last night. Max was pretty sick and he needed to go out in the garden several times last night. Max always wakes me up when he feels something is wrong. after he woke me up for the second time i was om alert, and that usually means no more sleep for the rest of the night.

Right now Max seems ok! Max has a very sensitive stomach, he has stomach problems since he was a pup. Today his diet for today is mostly crackers his dinner will be as usual he gets food that's just for dogs who have a sensitive stomach, like my Max.

Also i made an appointment with my beta reader, so we can go through both the books i'm working on right now!

Hubby just put some delicious snacks on the coffee table so time to stop blogging LOL.

Time on my hands...

This week I have time on my hands, and that means time to continue re-writing my novel and writing on my Christmas novella. After struggling for months now, it all comes together and I can make the changes. The story-line will stay the same, of course!  Also I finally chose a pen-name that I really like.

The reason that I’m able to write on my books again is that I feel good, relaxed right now. I moved with my laptop from my desk to the couch, it just makes me feel more relaxed.

Since I have time because I’m between writing jobs I finally am able to catch up with friends again and making plans for the holidays (Christmas). When it comes to article/ copy (re)writing I’m very picky. That’s why I’m between jobs right now. I always am very careful and I don’t work for just anybody. I get many offers from contractors who want to hire me; I turn down almost all of the offers.

Right now I’m on the couch writing this blog and listen to love songs on the radio, I feel peaceful. Also I’m feeling inspired; yesterday I deleted a whole chapter and wrote 3 pages, so that’s pretty awesome. The publisher wanted more romance, so I’ll put in more romance because that’s what I’m good at!

So much pain!

The last two weeks were hell! I’m a positive thinker, at least try to be. Make the most of every day. Let’s start at the beginning.

Ever since we came back from our holiday, which was the end of august, I battle with throat infection. Sometimes it’s less other times it hurts like hell. Also my health wasn’t that good, I call it fake flu! It means I feel sick all the time without really being sick. Headache, fever and so tired. So last week I went to my doctor for my flu shot. On Saturday I started feeling good again, energized which felt so good.

Monday it all went to hell! My shoulder hurt so much that I had problems to even get out of bed. So I start to exercise, thinking it would help against being so very stiff.  After I got home from work on Monday afternoon, I could barely move. My shoulder kept on hurting like a bitch couldn’t sit, couldn’t stand even lying down was very painful.

Wednesday I got some powerful painkillers from my doctor. The meds help but made me woozy. I always have a bad reaction when it comes to powerful painkillers or antibiotics. So the painkillers help a bit but they don’t really do the trick. Monday I have to see my doctor again and she probable will give my beloved antibiotics. I probably will be forced to take rest this coming week, due to the medication, it sucks!!

There is also very good news (yep really). Max still is doing great, he had me so worried, I love that li’ll doggie so much it sometimes hurts. I finished writing the website content for a Swiss insurance company and the loved it. I managed to go for a walk with Max every day of the last week. I need the fresh air badly, it helps keeps the depression at bay. Fresh air and lots of healthy food helps a lot, especially this time of year when the days are too short and to dark. Right now I feel good mentally, my body, not so much! I hope my doctor will be able to help me on Monday so I can get back to doing me all day normal stuff.

I wish everyone a great weekend, coming next week. I know I will take it easy.

My Thursday.........

I’m busy cleansing my laptop from all the stuff I don’t really need, but it’s a lot of work LOL. I have an external hard drive (2T) that I can finally put to good use. So yesterday I cleaned up the hard drive and today I’ll move most of the important files over to the ex-HD. This is so boring, but it’s overdue for quite some time now!

Max is doing great again, but it never was this bad before. It took him five days to recover from his stomach problems.

Today I finally could convince my friend to learn braille. She’s nearly blind now if she can learn braille then she can keep reading like magazines and she wouldn't be so cut off from the world. Step one, is learning the alphabet. I hope she goes through with it she is at least able to read books.

I walked a lot this week because the weather is still so wonderful, lots of sunshine. Max and I we have so much fun walking at least 1.5 hours in the afternoon.

Now, I have to start with my new project, writing website content. I've never done anything like this before so it’s a challenge, I love a good challenge it keeps me on my toes LOL.

Max still sick……

Yesterday it looked like Max was getting better; this morning however it all went to hell. So we take him to see the vet this morning. I hope Max will be well soon again, it always hits me hard when he is sick and I can’t do much about it. I’ll wait with panicking until Max has been to the vet, with a little luck he gets antibiotics and that should do the trick. Hubby is still home and he will join Max and I to the vet.

This afternoon one of my best friends *we didn’t see each other for a while* is coming to visit me. I’m really looking forward catching up again. He and his partner are living together for over four years now and they are a happy couple.

My new homepage is getting more shape and form with every day that passes, as I’m in between jobs right now I have the time to hopefully finish so i can open it up for public.

So, off to the vet now and fingers crossed that Max just has an innocent infection.

Max and my new homepage....

My morning started off bad Max was sick! When he did his business outside there was a lot of blood involved, and that shocked the hell out of me. I called the vet as soon as Max and I were home again and she did put my mind at ease, I trust her she is very good also kind and gentle with the animals.  Turned out he has this problem because we changed his food, he gets a different brand now and that’s why his intestines are a bit irritated. I always take him with to work (every Thursday) and today I had to leave him home. All I wanted was to go home and tend to him, seeing for myself that he really was ok.

All is fine again Max is sleeping now; he still is very active which tells me he is doing fine.  Now I will do some work in the garden preparing to move my beautiful roses to a better spot.

Right now I’m finished with my project of writing 102 articles, and I’m hoping to get the green light soon for a translation project (fingers crossed).

I’m working on my new homepage and it’s progressing well, I’m totally satisfied.

Edit:
Max is still feeling good, so I hope his intestines are somewhat ok now, he’s playful and he has an healthy appetite, like always LOL.

So all in all this was a nice day! Now it’s time to continue writing!

Back, and cookies and milk…

We got back yesterday from our 3 week vacation, we had a wonderful vacation just perfect. I’m sitting on the couch drinking milk and eating cookies while writing this blog.
Li’ll Max was on his best behavior during our 3 week vacation. We visited a bear sanctuary in the Black Forest and saw the bears from a really close distant. Max was more than impressed, he didn’t even bark LOL.

Switzerland was just beautiful, what an amazing country. We went up the Stanserhorn with a convertible gondola it was quite the experience, standing in the open air while going up the mountain. Our camping was at a beautiful lake and everywhere we looked we saw only magnificent mountains with lots of trees and little houses on it, and of course cows!

I took this 3 week vacation to recharge, get my energy back again and I feel great, rested. As of Monday I start writing articles again and at the company I work (my steady job). So right now I’ll enjoy my weekend, Li’ll Max is beside me on the couch, sound asleep, hubby is at an event and will be back in the evening. I have the whole house to myself and loving it…..

Vacation time.................

I’m sitting in the shade writing this blog, hubby is to the little airport were the Smart event/ get-together will take place starting on Wednesday. Its 30 degrees Celsius at the moment so sitting in the shade is the best option, for me anyways.

So far our vacation is wonderful, Koblenz was truly beautiful! After Koblenz came the black forest were we stayed for 4 nights, the area is magnificent, the weather…not so much! It was cold and moist, but I guess that’s normal when you camp in the middle of the forest. We visited a bear sanctuary; I loved to see the bears in their natural surroundings. All the bears that are in this sanctuary were abused and mistreated, their stories are heartbreaking humans can be monsters sometimes.

We are in Switzerland right now and here we will stay for 10 days. It’s nice and warm, I love it. The view is just marvelous, mountains, everywhere you look mountains. The water of the lake is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom, so beautiful. Here at Buochs I can replenish my energy, it’s so beautiful and peaceful here. I love the Swiss food and desserts so yummy, I took li’ll Max so often for a walk to the lake, and this morning we took him to Luzern he doesn’t want to walk anymore. If a show him the leash, he simply looks the other way and then he closes his eyes again. The famous Kappel-Brücke in Luzern was partly destroyed by a fire 20 years ago and today august 18th was the official opening of the bridge and we were there, brilliant don’t you think?

I planned on getting some work done during the vacation but, I’m simply too tired. I think that was to be expected after powering for nearly a year my mind is kinda empty right now. So I really will use the vacation to get as much rest as I can get, that way I’ll be fit when I get back home and can start working right away. Also I have a few new ideas for my next book, just have to work it all out in my head then I can start with the writing.

We met all kind of people on the different camping grounds, we met a family who brought their handicapped son along, so nice to see a family that is so tight.  I mean the boy was in a wheelchair and he couldn’t speak, he only could make noises. It always makes me sad to see people that are so severely handicapped and this boy was so young. Next to us stays an American family with their 2 kids, they are nice and their kids very well behaved. Last night we put 4 arrogant Swiss people in their place LOL. I worked and lived for 2 years in Switzerland that was 24 years ago and still, some things, never change. Most of the Swiss young adults are so very arrogant unfortunately, but the older ones are really nice and helpful though. Switzerland is very expensive even simple things like grocerihough. donng. ead then i ell behaved. Last night we put 4 arrogant es are super expensive.

So that’s it for now! I want to catch up with my reading.

Vacation day 1.

Day 1 of my 3.5 weeks vacay!

I don’t have internet connection right now, but I’ll post this as soon as I have internet connection again!

We drove for about 5 hours today to reach our destination, it took us so long because we decided to take the country road instead of the highway and it was worth it. The scenery was breathtaking at times. Country roads are always less stressful then when you take the highway. The camping ground we’re at now has a small lake and it’s surrounded by trees and small mountains, really beautiful.

The tent-trailer is awesome, hubby made it himself design and putting the tent together. We already had our fair share of people, who came by to take a look; the Weekender really is one of a kind. When hubby took a shower, he overheard the guy in the next stall talking to his son “I have to find out who’s camping at number 90 (our camp number) because he was curious about our tent-trailer LOL.

We had dinner and a shower, now it’s reading time. Max is sound asleep; it was an eventful day for the little rascal, but he did well. Max was on his best behavior today.

Hubby is handing me a delicious glass of red wine, so time to stop writing and enjoy my evening!

To all, have a nice evening!

Today.....

I woke up this morning with a mayor headache; the weather change is the guilty party here. My lovely bratty li’ll dog Max was really obnoxious this morning as well, it’s like he knows I have a headache. Right now he is lying in his chair sound asleep, thank god for small favors LOL. He doesn’t know it yet, but he has to take a bath today. I gave him a haircut on Monday but he needs his bath. I don’t want to do things last minute before we leave for our vacation, I hate last minute stress! Its ten days until we leave but I have several jobs, so good organization is really important here.

Although on vacation, I probably will get some work done. Maybe this sounds crazy but I can’t do nothing all day, even when I’m on vacation. I’m so used to being busy every day, and I love writing so work is a bit of a hobby too.

I landed myself a new job today, blog writing, I love to write blogs so, I’m very happy. I’m used to copywriting and blog writing is something totally different. That’s the beauty of different jobs it never gets boring.

Edit:

The headache is almost gone now thanks to a Swiss remedy, espresso with a bit of fresh lemon juice.

My weekend!

Hubby Max and I we all had a good time yesterday visiting friends, we had a nice dinner outside because after the rain was gone the sun came out again. After dinner we went for a long walk with when we walked along the golf course Max ran up the driving range to play with the golf balls, it was hilarious. I let him, because the driving range was deserted.

I got some work done today; I work on weekends and even when I’m on vacation LOL. That’s the beauty when working as a freelancer. The downside however is that I don’t have work on a regular basis. Thank god I still have a steady job even if it’s only 10 hours a week.

I even took the time to finish the book I was reading. I love Sunday it’s the best day of the week because on Sunday I really only do what I want. Whether it’s work like writing articles, reading, spending my day playing adventure games on my laptop or doing some housework, it just doesn’t matter.

Right now I’m finishing my last article while watching TV, *Witch Hunting in Europe*.

Royal Canine, books and…..

I wrote this blog over several hours of today!

I read some awful stuff yesterday about Royal Canine (animal food company). They actually did sponsor bear fights. The poor bear is tight-up to a tree with a very short rope. Then they release the dogs to tear the bear apart, that’s stuff for the worst nightmares, right? It was even in the Dutch and German news. The company made some lame excuse, you know the ones that the feel they have to do to keep us animal lovers happy (They didn’t know) Yeah, right! Well tough shit I along with many others gave them a piece of my mind.

It looks like we get some rain later on today, outside it’s hot no sun. I just put the fan in place so my workspace keeps cool. I can’t write if it’s too hot, my brain gets all fuzzy. I bought Max a collar that cools him down it’s called Aqua Cool-Keeper LOL.

It’s getting dark outside really fast now, so I think the rain and thunder will start soon. If it gets any darker I’ll have to turn on the lights (chuckle).

Edit: 2 PM
I just turned on the lights because it’s too dark to see the keyboard properly.
I still have problems writing my articles, and for the life of me I don’t know why. I’m still 4 articles behind; I guess I will finish those on Saturday or Sunday.

Rain and thunder are starting and Max is barking like mad, he’s terrified of the thunder and lightning, poor pooch.

Edit: 5 PM

I’ll start with dinner soon fresh salmon with pasta so yummy. I still have three articles to write, I’ll continue tomorrow writing all three of them. Have to do it in the morning hours because I’ll be away for most of the day. That’s it for now after dinner I will take some time to read, right now I’m at book three from the Unmated at Midnight series by Joyee Flynn!

A wonderful week....

Finally summer has arrived, even in the shade it’s too hot to work outside. So I’m in the house writing articles (Yes I’m writing my articles again). I don’t have AC in my house, but I have a very good ventilator and it’s doing a great job keeping me cool behind my desk.  Max is inside too he doesn’t like the heat very much.

We are preparing for our upcoming vacation, 3 weeks we will be gone WHOOP, WHOOP. We will travel through Germany into Switzerland, I just love the mountains.  The black forest in Germany has some awesome camping grounds, in the middle of Mother Nature, I love it.

We just bought li’ll Max a cooling collar, it’s very simple you put the collar into very cold water for about 15 minutes then let it dry. Once the collar is completely dry you can put it on your dog and it cools the dog for up to 5 days, cool uh?  There is a new pet store that opens in 2 days and because it’s a brand new store they have 20% discount on all everything. So we will go to the opening of the new pet store and buy supplies for Max (he gets his own holiday surprise box).

Right now I’m busy finishing up my articles and then I have to leave for work, my college has her 3 weeks of vacation so I have to work her hours as well.

CRY, One direction and ………..

I spend the weekend in London to participate in the CRY WALK event (Cardiac Risk in the Young). I flew in on Friday because I always meet up with friends, that way I spend the whole weekend in London. To fly in for one day would just be insane, so I always make it a three day stay.

Because of the weather we spend a lot of time at the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain, just sitting and dangling my feet in the cold water was so great. We had our lunch in also in Hyde Park under the trees in the shade, it was simply wonderful. We had dinner in Soho in a cozy Italian restaurant, the food was delicious.

While walking (CRY WALK) on Sunday, we saw the boy-band One Direction, it was hilarious all the screaming girls hahaha. While one of the bridges we witnessed a booting accident. Thank god the all people who were in the boot were rescued, they didn’t wear life vest. To land in the Thames without wearing a life vest is life threating, because you can’t swim in the Thames, the streaming is just too strong and will drag you under.

So today it’s back to the usual all day stuff, I’m still on the hunt for job but I’m nearly finished editing.

Job hunting, writing and packing……..

Book editing goes well, I’m pleased to say! I rewrote a few scenes and it all looks perfect now (big grin). The weather isn’t so great right now, a lot of rain but I don’t mind.

I’m still on the hunt for a job and it amazes me again and again when I see that people who passed their English exam and then apply for a job, writing in such a bad English language it gives me the creeps! I asked myself how they did it. How did they pass the English exam when their reply in the English language is full of grammar and spelling error?

Today I’ll start packing my suitcase for my trip to London on Friday. My plane takes off at 7 AM so I have to rise and shine very early. I don’t mind taking an early flight, taking an early flight means I’m able to spend the whole day in London. If I would take a plane in the afternoon, I  only would have the evening in London, see what I mean? ;) LOL

A normal day!

Right now I’m on the lookout for some translations jobs. I just love and need the challenge. Also, I’m nearly finished editing my novel. I’m sitting in the garden while searching for translation jobs and doing some editing in between LOL.

In two days I leave for London to participate in a charity event. When in London I’ll meet up with many friends who I only see once a year. The weather forecast is outstanding for the weekend I’m so happy.

Well there isn’t much else, so that’s it for today!

Friday!!

Halfway through with editing my novel, it goes really well I’m so pleased. Max is sleeping beside me in his chair. It’s a shame the weather is so nasty, it’s so cold. Right now I’m keeping an eye on the weather so Max and I don’t get wet when I take him for his walk. To not have to write articles right now is a curse and a blessing. For one I love to write articles it’s just so much fun and it’s never boring because there are so many different niches to write about yes, I miss writing articles!

To be between writing jobs right now gives me finally time to finish my novel, so I can send it to my beta reader. I still have to finish my Christmas novella, I hope to catch the deadline, but I lost so much time because of my article writing. Ah well, fingers crossed.

My garden needs tending but I’ll wait until it’s a bit warmer outside, and it should stop raining too.  Now, if I only manage to walk Max between the rain showers that would be so great, I hate getting wet.

Thursday.....

I’m feeling better today after being sick for a couple of days. I worked this morning like I always do on Thursday mornings and it went well. I have to work this afternoon and then I have until Monday morning to work on my novel and continue writing on my Christmas novella. The edit for my novel takes some time because I’m not able to spend that many hours on the book (it has over 60.000 word count, mind you!). Right now I’m continuing writing on my Christmas novel, and hope to finish before the deadline in July.

The weather sucks, yes really, it’s about 16 degrees Celsius outside and that’s just to cold, that being said, I applied for some writing jobs because I really like writing all kinds of articles; I never get bored writing all kinds of different articles.

Only one week, and then I’m off for London to join the CRY WALK event. I’m so looking forward to spend the weekend in London, seeing many friends again.

Time on my hands……

My novel should be ready in about two weeks for me to send it to my beta reader. I was stuck on my Christmas novella for some time now, but I think my writers block is finally over. So I hope to finish the novella very soon *fingers crossed*.

In a couple of hours family and friends come for our yearly BBQ. Since yesterday I’m busy with preparations and doing last minute grocery shopping. All the salads are ready and so it the rest of the food. I like to prepare food from scratch, it just taste so much better!

Today it’s going be a madhouse, many people and a few dogs too. The weather against me today, so we will take the BBQ inside (thank god we have space to do do).  Hubby is a great help!

Have a great day!

Sad ending of a good week!

A sad ending of a good week, but things happen for a reason.

Today, I wrote the last of my SEO articles because the company I wrote for is closing down the copy-write section, for now anyways. I know as a freelancer, things like this happen but I don’t have to like it! I love to write articles and I hope that they will open up the writing section again, soon. In the meantime I’m on the lookout for a new writing job.

Minus one job gives me the time I urgently need to finish editing my novel, so I can send it to my beta reader. After that it should be ready for the publisher. The novel has a word count from over 60.000 so editing is a lot of work. I also will continue with my Christmas novella, I’m nearing the deadline so I have to finish writing my Christmas novella soon!

This morning I went grocery shopping for our family day on Sunday.  BBQ and lots of alcohol. I’m so looking forward to this family gathering. I had high hopes for the weather to be great on Sunday, so we could party outside in the garden. Unfortunately the weather forecast  doesn’t look good, so we will stay indoors.

Rough night!

Last night hubby and I woke because our Max had breathing problems. It was hell; the poor pooch could barely catch his breath. All we could do was sit at his side and keep him calm because he was panicking (and rightly so!)

After the episode was over we kept him company for a while longer just to make sure he really was ok. After that, I didn’t sleep much the rest of the night. Max is doing fine now, we just went for we long walk and my friend joined us with her doggie, she is Max’s lady friend. So, fingers crossed that Max isn’t getting any more breathing problems.

Have a good day all!

Max, the garden, London and a funeral!

I lost my dear neighbor last week to cancer. After fighting for thirteen years, she lost the fight of her life! The funeral was heart wrenching I already miss her so much.

The garden:

I worked in the garden for the last six days or so, and I feel all the muscles in my body LOL. I think two more days and all is finished. The weather forecast is good when the sun shows itself in a few days, I will be able to get my laptop and get some writing done while enjoying the weather.

Max:

Yesterday I gave Max his haircut his hair really grows fast. So every five to six weeks I have to give him e haircut.

My novel:

I finally have the time to continue editing my novel. It didn’t touch my books in ages, I’m glad I finally have the time to continue writing on my Christmas novella and……. to continue editing my novel.

London:

I’m so excited; I leave for London in three weeks. Once I arrive I will meet up with friends who I only see once a year. I keep in touch with my friends from the UK via Facebook, so I’m always excited when we meet up once a year in London.

Lazy Sunday!

Today is all about family, quality time. So hubby, Max and I will take a little trip this afternoon. I just let a good friend of mine proofreading the prologue and first chapter of my Sam and Rory novel. He said that it was well written and he liked it very much. That’s what he said when I asked him for an honest opinion. I’m so pleased.

The weather is good for the first in like forever LOL, so I’m looking forward having some much needed quality time with my hubby and with Max. Going for a nice long walk, afterwards have coffee and a nice slice of delicious apple pie hhhmm yummy.

I will do some editing on the Sam and Rory novel, I want to finally finish and send it on its way to the publisher, fingers crossed that they like the story and that they will publish the book.
