Back, and cookies and milk…

We got back yesterday from our 3 week vacation, we had a wonderful vacation just perfect. I’m sitting on the couch drinking milk and eating cookies while writing this blog.
Li’ll Max was on his best behavior during our 3 week vacation. We visited a bear sanctuary in the Black Forest and saw the bears from a really close distant. Max was more than impressed, he didn’t even bark LOL.

Switzerland was just beautiful, what an amazing country. We went up the Stanserhorn with a convertible gondola it was quite the experience, standing in the open air while going up the mountain. Our camping was at a beautiful lake and everywhere we looked we saw only magnificent mountains with lots of trees and little houses on it, and of course cows!

I took this 3 week vacation to recharge, get my energy back again and I feel great, rested. As of Monday I start writing articles again and at the company I work (my steady job). So right now I’ll enjoy my weekend, Li’ll Max is beside me on the couch, sound asleep, hubby is at an event and will be back in the evening. I have the whole house to myself and loving it…..

Vacation time.................

I’m sitting in the shade writing this blog, hubby is to the little airport were the Smart event/ get-together will take place starting on Wednesday. Its 30 degrees Celsius at the moment so sitting in the shade is the best option, for me anyways.

So far our vacation is wonderful, Koblenz was truly beautiful! After Koblenz came the black forest were we stayed for 4 nights, the area is magnificent, the weather…not so much! It was cold and moist, but I guess that’s normal when you camp in the middle of the forest. We visited a bear sanctuary; I loved to see the bears in their natural surroundings. All the bears that are in this sanctuary were abused and mistreated, their stories are heartbreaking humans can be monsters sometimes.

We are in Switzerland right now and here we will stay for 10 days. It’s nice and warm, I love it. The view is just marvelous, mountains, everywhere you look mountains. The water of the lake is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom, so beautiful. Here at Buochs I can replenish my energy, it’s so beautiful and peaceful here. I love the Swiss food and desserts so yummy, I took li’ll Max so often for a walk to the lake, and this morning we took him to Luzern he doesn’t want to walk anymore. If a show him the leash, he simply looks the other way and then he closes his eyes again. The famous Kappel-Brücke in Luzern was partly destroyed by a fire 20 years ago and today august 18th was the official opening of the bridge and we were there, brilliant don’t you think?

I planned on getting some work done during the vacation but, I’m simply too tired. I think that was to be expected after powering for nearly a year my mind is kinda empty right now. So I really will use the vacation to get as much rest as I can get, that way I’ll be fit when I get back home and can start working right away. Also I have a few new ideas for my next book, just have to work it all out in my head then I can start with the writing.

We met all kind of people on the different camping grounds, we met a family who brought their handicapped son along, so nice to see a family that is so tight.  I mean the boy was in a wheelchair and he couldn’t speak, he only could make noises. It always makes me sad to see people that are so severely handicapped and this boy was so young. Next to us stays an American family with their 2 kids, they are nice and their kids very well behaved. Last night we put 4 arrogant Swiss people in their place LOL. I worked and lived for 2 years in Switzerland that was 24 years ago and still, some things, never change. Most of the Swiss young adults are so very arrogant unfortunately, but the older ones are really nice and helpful though. Switzerland is very expensive even simple things like grocerihough. donng. ead then i ell behaved. Last night we put 4 arrogant es are super expensive.

So that’s it for now! I want to catch up with my reading.

Vacation day 1.

Day 1 of my 3.5 weeks vacay!

I don’t have internet connection right now, but I’ll post this as soon as I have internet connection again!

We drove for about 5 hours today to reach our destination, it took us so long because we decided to take the country road instead of the highway and it was worth it. The scenery was breathtaking at times. Country roads are always less stressful then when you take the highway. The camping ground we’re at now has a small lake and it’s surrounded by trees and small mountains, really beautiful.

The tent-trailer is awesome, hubby made it himself design and putting the tent together. We already had our fair share of people, who came by to take a look; the Weekender really is one of a kind. When hubby took a shower, he overheard the guy in the next stall talking to his son “I have to find out who’s camping at number 90 (our camp number) because he was curious about our tent-trailer LOL.

We had dinner and a shower, now it’s reading time. Max is sound asleep; it was an eventful day for the little rascal, but he did well. Max was on his best behavior today.

Hubby is handing me a delicious glass of red wine, so time to stop writing and enjoy my evening!

To all, have a nice evening!
