Twice this week and, happy Easter to all of you!

One firm I’m working at is very satisfied with me, the second firm, not so much right now and that sucks, big time! It means that I have to improve my work. On top of that my colleague came in Thursday and took the flu with her, so since Thursday afternoon I’m sick too. A had the flu already so I thought I wouldn’t catch it again, how wrong I was. Thursday afternoon the flu reared its ugly head again.  I’ve been two days under the covers and right now I feel a bit better, thank the gods. Hubby Max and I leave this afternoon to celebrate Easter with friends, we will be back on Monday!

I’m working on my website right now, adding a few summaries.  I hope to finish with editing my novel soon, so I can send it to the publisher. Have to continue my packing so we can leave when hubby comes home from work.

More Sunday!

I discovered just today that I can work (copywriting) perfectly when behind my desk. I just don’t seem to be able to write on my books when I’m behind my desk. How weird is that! So right now, I’m sitting on the couch with my laptop, and the writing goes pretty well. I’m still watching Cesar Millan’s show The Dog Whisperer.

The sun has decided to pay me a visit after all today. The whole day was cloudy and grey, and now in the late afternoon she finally shows up. Too little too late, I think because soon it will get dark and cold again.

Ok, back to writing again!

Feeling a little sick...

Sunday 11 AM

I’m a bit sick (a mild case of the flu) thank the gods I’m not really, really sick. Today I finally started writing again. I didn’t have much time these last weeks, due to work. So today I continue with Jack and Dexter love story. I’m continue editing Sam and Rory’s story and that takes more time than I expected it would. Well it’s a novel with a word count over 60.000, so yes of course it takes some time. I will re-write some scenes while editing my novel (I’m at page 114 right now).

Hubby is away with his friend, so I have the whole house to myself and loving it. When it’s quiet I can write so much better. It’s the same with my copy writing, I write so much better and more articles when I’m alone. I really need the quiet to accomplish things. Max is lying beside me and he keeps me company, he’s a real sweetheart. I’m running a fever that’s coming and going over the last two days. I never have a constant fever; it’s always coming and going, annoying really!

We just had snow yesterday again, I really hope spring will soon come and stay for a bit this time. I’m sick and tired of the cold.

2 PM

I can’t seem to concentrate on the writing, editing goes very well though. I’m gonna watch Cesar Millan while lying down on the couch until the fever is gone again. Hopefully I will be able to write some more after I get some rest.

My new desk and, my baby in the snow

I finally got my new desk this week; well it’s a used desk that I could buy very cheap from the firm a friend of mine works. So I have a professional desk witch I paid almost nothing for, so yay for me! I’m very busy with copywriting at the moment and loving it. 

I guess I’m one of the few who could turn a hobby actually into work, I’m very grateful for my job as a copywriter. My desk is situated in the living room because there is enough room for me, and I like working in the living room. When I’m in my living room copywriting or busy writing on my novel, I feel connected.

Hubby developed a new tent trailer and needs the spare room that was supposed to be my office. I’m cool that hubby gets my old office because; I work best in the living room. Like I said, I’m swamped with work right now and loving it. Some people say I’m a workaholic and maybe that’s true, but I feel good when I’m working.

And……father winter is back again! I love the snow don’t get me wrong but enough is enough. It’s time for the spring to arrive. Max loves the snow and wants to go outside all the time, funny pooch!

Time to breathe

Finally time to breathe again. I worked a lot over the last week and a half, I love what I do and I didn’t mind writing lots of articles. But I’m glad it’s Sunday, Sunday is my day off, come hell or high water LOL.

I worked till 2:30 PM Friday, walked Max and then I started with cooking. I hosted a dinner party yesterday (Saturday) for a few friends well eight of them. And they all can eat like there is no tomorrow hahaha and that’s why I love to cook for my friends.

Anyways, right now I’m tired beyond words slept most of the day and watching TV. We bought a new couch last week and it looks really nice also we bought a new rug for under the coffee table, looks great to.

I have a bowl with fresh strawberries waiting for me, so I will indulge in this delicious fruit, I love strawberries. I’m actually too tired to write down more, but there is more to come. I will be more active on facebook too, it’s just I worked so much lately that I simply didn’t had the time to interact on FB.
